  • August 6th : East Anglian Arena Trec Swaffield

    Highlands excel again. Nanika of Suffield came first and Ellister Islay Riverdance ridden by Helen Almey came second. Highlands do so well at Trec being calm, careful and clever.  Riverdance is for sale.

  • July 18th : For sale Prince Frangan of Suffield (Frank)

    Frank will be for sale to a 5* special home at weaning. He is well handled , very friendly, expected to make 14 hand +, has a tremendous eye-catching walk. Good conformation and definitely show potential. He will be grey. Dam – Lochlands Mandola. Sire Kincardine Raasay (by Ulleam of Croila ).  Contact

  • July 18th : For sale Ellister Island Riverdance

    River is 14.1, 10 year old mare. She is good to do in every way. Not a novice ride as she can be opinionated at times.  River has won at dressage and recently came first in a local Trek competition. Lovely mare looking for a forever, 5 * home.

  • July 18th : Meadow Farm Trek 2018

    Caroline Brett, riding Ellister Island Riverdance, was thrilled to win the annual Trek at Meadow Farm. Morag Neald, on Nanika of Whitefield, came 2rd and Helen Almey came 4th riding her young mare Boundary Beck Posy. Highlands rule (there were 15 entries).

  • March 16th : Murrayshall Geordie is Sold

    Geordie is sold. His new owners have already had success with him showing in hand and under saddle. He has a lovely new home.


  • July 11th : Congratulations to Kerry and Jeremy Fisher of Suffield aka Geordie Junior on their first rosette

    Congratulations to Kerry Fouler and Geordie Junior (Jeremy Fisher of Suffield) on winning the young stock class at Horsford Showing Show as well as coming 6th in a huge class of 22 ponies.

  • July 2nd : Meadow Farm Trek 2017

    The very brilliant Nanika won Meadow Farm Trek. She a real pro and as always tries her hardest.

  • May 21st : Meadow Farm Dressage

    Nanika comes 1st and Geordie comes 3rd at Meadow Farm Dressage. Both ponies tried hard with great results

  • April 25th : Geordie has a new half brother

    Tess of Glendoll had a lovely colt foal on Saturday night 22nd April by Glenbanchor Gilliebrighde. Congratulations Gordon and Janet Smith.


  • August 29th : Geordie and his offspring bring home the ribbons at Aylsham Show

    Geordie’s daughter, Boundary Beck Bluebell, won the Shenaghie Shield and was reserve champion of the mixed mountain and moorland classes at Aylsham Show. Congratulations Susan Osborne. Geordie was second in his class and his son Jeremy Fisher of Suffield (now Geordie Junior) was a very creditable 3rd in a strong youngstock class of mainly Welsh […]

  • October 4th : Jeremy Fisher of Suffield is sold

    Jem has a lovely new home at weaning. We wish Kerry all the best with him.

  • September 21st : Geordie enjoying his ‘Gap Year’.
  • September 21st : Helen and Riverdance come home triumphant

    Congratulations to Helen Almey and her highland mare Ellister Island Riverdance who did their first dressage competition today and came home with a 1st and a 3rd.

  • July 8th : Fair Laddie of Suffield

    Laddie tragically broke his shoulder after leaving us and was put to sleep.

  • May 14th : Nanika does well at Trec

    Nanika of Whitefield came 4th out of a class of fourteen at Red Hall Trec near Norwich. She was the only purebred British Native Pony entered and continues to be a great ambassador for her breeders and Highland ponies

  • April 21st : Fair Laddie of Suffield

    Fair Laddie of Suffield ( Murrayshall Geordie x Fiona of Silverstripe) arrived at 2.30 a.m. on the 19th April. Both mare and foal doing well. 

  • April 9th : Geordie starts his ridden showing career

  • April 9th : Geordie has a Son

    Lochlands Mandola had a colt foal at midnight on April 4th. He is being called Jeremy Fisher of Suffield (Gem).  He is the spit of his Dad when he was born so I expect him to go dark grey. Gem is big and strong and we are thrilled with him.

  • February 24th : Geordie gains a second at his first novice ridden class

    Geordie came a very creditable second at his first ever ridden class at Topthorn Equestrian centre on 2nd February. He gained two second ribbons on the 23rd Feb in the BSPS show again at Topthorn qualifying for two championships.All credit to Julie Barton and her show team.


  • September 9th : Nanika does it again

    Nanika came first in her class at the Redhall Equestrian Centre Trec competition. She was really excited with the new place, lots of other horses and bucked rather a lot to let me know about it – fortunately between obstacles! She is such a fun pony and a superstar.

  • August 31st : Southern Highland Pony Show 2013

    Congratulations to the Julie Barton Show team for winning Champion Novice Ridden with Mrs A Carter’s Shanohah Finnley. He had a great week winning at Equifest taking 1st Novice, Champion Novice and Supreme Ridden Champion. What an amazing year he has had.   • July 13th : Nanika wins Meadow Farm Trec

    Nanika was joint first at the Meadow Farm Trec competition on 23rd June. We have had more entries and enquiries this year. There are plans for a second event in September and Red Hall Stables have also shown interest in holding their own Trec event.

  • June 8th : Geordie has another daughter

    Congratulations to Helen and Brian Almey on the birth of Boundary Beck Campion. Penny May of Forglen gave birth to a yellow dun filly foal on Wednesday night. Campion is a fully sister to Boundary Beck Buebell.

  • May 29th : Suffolk and Norfolk Native Pony Show

    Fiona of Silverstripe won her class and best mare. Congratulations to the Julia Barton showing team who took supreme of show with Angela Carter’s Shanohah Finnley.

  • May 11th : Geordie’s first foal wins at Sandringham

    Boundary Beck Bluebell (Murrayshall Geordie x Penny of Forglen) went to the Sandringham Fells,Dales and Highlands show today. It was her first show, she behaved really well and she came first in the yearling class.  Congratulations to Helen Almey her breeder who also took the youngstock championship with her two year old Boundary Beck Posy.

  • May 7th : Lochlands Mandola visits Geordie

    Ola has now been covered by Geordie. Both ponies have settle well and Ola will be Geordie’s companion until next winter.

  • August 21st : Murrayshall Geordie does well at Southern Highland Show

    Geordie came second in the 2/3 yr old colt class. He was among a class crowd and was only beaten by the young stock champion. He behaved well and coped with the heat without a problem.

    SOLD.  Rain Dancer of Suffield –  Safari ( Anglo-Arab) x  Murrayshall Geordie –  has greyed out and gone to a 5* competitive home.  We are thrilled.

  • July 12th : Royal Norfolk Show

    Geordie was second at the Royal Norfolk Show. It was lovely to see such a good turnout of highland ponies.  At home, Geordie and Fiona and now very well settled. Fiona has started hacking out again and I am riding Geordie in his paddock. We managed our first trot today.

  • May 28th : Tess of Glendoll has filly foal.

    Geordie’s dam, Tess of Glendoll, has a super filly foal by Quercus Rubra. Congratulations to Janet and Gordon Smith.

  • May 23rd : Geordie wins highland youngstock class at Southern Native Pony Show

      Geordie was really well behaved and ably shown by Nigel Impey. 

  • May 20th : Geordie wins championship at Sandringham

    Geordie won the 2/3 year old highland pony class at the Fell,Dale and Highland Show at Sandringham. He then went on to take the In Hand Highland pony championship. He covered a mare at 6.30 a.m. and was keen at the show but amazingly well behaved.

  • May 13th : Geordie’s second foal has arrived

    Rain Dancer of Suffield was born on 9th May at 11 pm in the pouring rain. He is very friendly,elegant, with a sweet head and long, long legs. He will probably be grey and I expect him to make 15.2. He will be for sale from weaning to 5* home (now sold). His brothers are […]

  • May 2nd : Fiona visits Geordie

    Fiona has been covered by Geordie and will be his companion this year.

  • April 16th : Geordie’s first foal has arrived

    Penny May of Forglen foaled on her due date and presented Helen Almey with a super filly foal last night. She is big and strong with a lovely head and plenty of bone. We are all thrilled. She’s called Boundary Beck Bluebell.

  • April 7th : Meadow Farm Prelim Dressage

    Nanika and Fiona competed in their first prelim dressage test. I was absolutely delighted when they both achieved highly commended scores and were joint first in their class of 11 entries.

  • March 31st : Indoor Jumping

    Sun 26th Feb Nanika and Fiona went to their first indoor show jumping experience.  They both took it all in their stride (except some of the jumps!) and judging by the speed they completed their round obviously enjoyed their outing

  • March 31st : Le Trec at Meadow Farm,Norfolk

    Safari is presumed in foal

    Safari showing no signs of coming back into season and now presumed in foal.  

  • May 20th : Penny scanned in Foal

    Helen Almey’s mare Penny May of Forglen came to visit in May and is now scanned in foal to Geordie.  

  • May 12th : Congratulations to Boundary Beck Stud

    Congratulations to neighbouring Boundary Beck Stud on the birth of highland filly named Boundary Beck Posy (Glenwestcastle Loch Loyal x Highland Chief of Whitefield)  

  • May 9th : Geordie has another half-sister

    Geordie has another half-sister. Tess of Glendoll has again had a super yellow dun filly, Stac Pollaidh of Murrayshall by Moss-side Iain Morr.

  • May 3rd : Geordie turned out

    Geordie turned out with my ex-polocrosse pony Safari who has had two lovely foals. The second was by highland stallion Johnsondene. We are hoping for another super part-bred next year.  Safari not impressed with Geordie though.

  • May 2nd : Geordie passes stallion grading

    Geordie passed his stallion grading with Highland Pony Society  

  • May 1st : Geordie wins Large Breed Native Pony Youngstock Class

    Geordie wins Large Breed Native Pony Youngstock Class, best Highland Pony and then overall Native Pony Championship at the North Norfolk Horse Show. He behaved well with hundreds of other ponies around but couldn’t resist introducing himself to all those nearby.

  • April 18th : Ola has had quite a week

    Lochlands Mandola (Ola) has arrived from Scotland. She traveled and settled down well.

  • September 20th : Tess’s Last Show

    Tess of Glendoll and Breagh of Murrayshall (Geordie’s mother and half-sister) won their classes at the Central Scotland Highland Pony Show. Tess went on to take the in-hand Championship and Breagh was awarded the best filly trophy. Congratulations to Janet Smith.  

  • June 1st : New addition to Boundary Beck Stud

    Congratulations to neighbouring Boundary Beck Stud on the birth of  a super colt foal named Boundary Beck Angus (Penny May of Forglen x Glenwestcastle Loch Tay)
